403(b) account reviews & setup
Understand your 403(b).
Let’s put it to work for you.
Get clear on how your account grows, what it costs, and how it could support your retirement. I’m Eddie. Whether you’re reviewing years of savings or starting your first account, I’ll explain the choices and handle the provider paperwork with you.
Our office offers fixed and fixed indexed annuities for eligible 403(b) accounts. Your employer’s plan determines which providers and options are available.

You’ve built the savings.
Know what they can do.
A balance tells you how much is there. I’ll explain your current rate or crediting method, renewal terms, and any market exposure—then connect growth, costs, and access to what you want this money to do.
Understand the numbers on your statement- What am I paying—and when can I use it?
- We’ll identify fees and rider costs, withdrawal rules, surrender charges, and existing benefits. A comparison includes any new restrictions and benefits you would keep or give up.
- How could it support my retirement?
- We’ll connect your savings to when you expect to need income alongside your pension, then discuss the insurance options we offer. Income options depend on contract and payout terms.

Start with your paycheck.
Build from there.
You choose a contribution that fits your budget. I’ll confirm approved-provider availability, explain traditional or Roth choices if offered, and help you compare growth features, costs, and access. Then I’ll coordinate your account application, beneficiaries, and payroll paperwork.
Your employer controls approval and deduction timing.

Your decisions.
My follow-through.
For an account placed through our office, I prepare and coordinate the provider paperwork, guide you through what needs your approval, and stay available for questions, beneficiary updates, and ongoing service. When a form arrives or your plans change, you have a person to call.
You authorize changes and sign the required forms. Employer and provider approval and processing still apply.
Your next step
Tell me where you are.
I’ll help from there.
An existing account, a first contribution, or a question you haven’t had answered. That’s enough to begin.
Is my 403(b) the same as my CalSTRS pension?
No. Your CalSTRS pension and your 403(b) are separate parts of retirement. A 403(b) lets you save through payroll under your employer’s plan. The product inside the account determines growth, costs, and access. I help explain the available insurance options and coordinate setup.
How your pension and payroll savings fit togetherWhat happens in the first 15 minutes?
We’ll discuss your current provider or district, the question you want answered, and what you’d like this money to do. I’ll explain how I can help and what information a closer review would need. It’s an introduction—not a complete account review or a commitment to buy.
What do I need to bring?
Just your question and, if you know it, your district and provider name. No documents, account numbers, or login details are needed to book. If we need a statement for a later review, I’ll explain how to share it securely.

Fixed options use contract-defined interest rates. Indexed options link interest to an index, subject to limits; some periods may earn no interest. Charges and withdrawals can reduce value. Guarantees depend on the issuing insurer’s claims-paying ability, not FDIC insurance.
About our services
An annuity adds no extra tax deferral to an already tax-deferred account. We provide insurance services, not securities or portfolio management. General education, not individual tax or legal advice.

How our office is compensated
There is no charge for our reviews or ongoing service, and no obligation to purchase. If you choose an annuity or another insurance product through our office, the issuing insurance company may pay us a commission. Insurance products may have fees, surrender charges, and other restrictions. Product terms and charges are explained before you decide.
